Douceur (a.k.a. "Duke") is a bay 17 year old (2006) 16.2 hand German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) registered gelding by Don Primero out of Valderia (Royal Dance).  He was bred in Germany by Arend and Doris Boekhoff and was an Elite Stallion before being imported to the U.S. in 2010.  Duke truly has a "sweetheart" character, attitude and temperament, and super quality gaits.  Alix trained him for Skyline Sport Horses from 2013 to 2021.  They competed Grand Prix and he also won the Region 8 Intermediare Freestyle Championships in 2017.

Majco Thunders Hattrick (a.k.a. "Hattie") is now 23 years old (2001) 16.3 hand Knabstrupper gelding.  He is by Thunder Boy x Jahanir Ox out of Jasmin, and was bred in Denmark by Ingrid Mikkelsen and Maj-Britt Carter. The Knabstrupper breed is a Danish Warmblood known for their kind temperaments and trainability, as well as for their beautiful coloring.  Hattrick was imported to the U.S. by Michele Doucette when he was five, and was trained by Alix from that time.  Despite a laminitic episode that set him back when he was 8-11 years old, he went on to successfully compete at the Grand Prix in Wellington, FL.  Some of his achievements include:

  • scoring 72.566% in the FEI Intermediate 1 Open to win the Circuit Reserve Champion award at the inaugural Global Dressage Festival in 2012
  • scoring 71.1% to win the Gold Coast Opener CDI I-1 Freestyle in January 2014 in Wellington, FL.
  • competing successfully in the Intermediate 1 at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions presented by Dutta Corp. in June 2014, and
  • winning the 2014 Region 8 I-1 Freestyle Championships. 

Hattrick is enjoying retired life with Michele.  He still makes everyone smile!  These are some photos / video of him when he was training with Alix.

Trofedo (a.k.a. "Trophy") was born in 1993, and was a 16.1 hand Swedish Warmblood gelding. He was a successful Intermediate level 3-day horse until he was about 13 when he was imported to the U.S., and since training with Alix, he applied the same winning attitude to dressage, competing at I-2 in Wellington, FL.   He passed in 2024 age 31, after a long and happy life.  We miss him every day.

Ready To Rumble (a.k.a. "Rosey") is a black 8 year old (2016), 17 hand Oldenburg gelding.  His owners bought him as a three-month old colt in Germany. His breeding is Rotspon (Rubinstein I) x Fielman (Florestan I) x Hohenstein.  Rosey has a huge character, and exceptional movement.  We expect his future will be one to watch!  

Sir Sebastian (a.k.a. "Seb") is a black 14 year old (2010) 16.3 hand Oldenburg gelding.  Alix found and bought Seb as a four-month-old colt with in Germany.  "I vividly remember picking him out of a group of foals in a field" said Alix.  "He handled himself so well in the group, and I could see the distinctive lift in his stride as well as his quality gaits."

Sir Sebastian is a German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) registered gelding by Sir Gregory x Rubinstein I and was bred by Zuchthof Josef Kathmann.  His dam is State Premium Elite mare "NeaState III" (owned by Hans Georg Kaiser) who competed at the Elite Mare Show at Rastede in 1994, earning the 1C prize.  Alix decided to leave Seb in Germany for his early years, and imported him to the U.S. in June 2013.  He is co-owned by Alix and Gregor.  Sir Sebastian's achievements to-date include:

  • 2013 Grand Champion, Young Horse Champion & Colt/Gelding Champion at the New England Dressage Association (NEDA) Fall Festival Breed Show held at Saugerties, NY
  • Feb 2014 - his first show under saddle, winning the Four Year Old USDF Materiale Class at the Global Dressage Festival 5 in FL with a score of 78.5%
  • June 2014 - scoring 80.2% in his first USDF 4 year old test at Westbrook Hunt Club show in CT

Sebastian is currently training for the Grand Prix.

Reine des Reves WS (a.k.a. Queen of Dreams or "Desi") is a black 14 year old (2009), 16.2 hand Oldenburg mare.  She is by Starlight (Sandro Hit) x Rosier (Rubinstein I), and was bred in the U.S. by Walkabout Station in TX.  Alix started her training in March 2014, showed her through PSG, and trained her to the Grand Prix.
